Murder Mystery:
Create
a short play that tells a story in 7 scenes.
Each
scene must have a clear beginning, a middle and an end. You can separate the
scene by using a "Blackout/Lights Up" or you can use other
transitions, like a narrator, or a written sign, or singing, for example.
Each
actor may play either multiple roles or play one character that appears
throughout the play.
Each
actor MUST appear in every scene, even if s/he does not say anything. For
example, sometimes an actor can play an animal, furniture, a potted plant or
any other scenic element.
Your

Shawn
and Jess set George up for the murder of his wife, Jess. George gets sent to

Precious, are left to mourn their friend whom they think is dead.

Millenia, Cheyenne, Esteban, Sabrina, Michelle, Ashley, Amy, Doug
Ashley
is the corpse at a funeral. Her friends are there for her funeral but seem
pretty indifferent to her death. After everyone leaves, Ashley wakes up and
finds out she is a zombie. However, things don't seem to go her way in zombie
land for Doug and Esteban, who are zombie guys, are not interested in
her.
Period 5:
Carnival!
Statues:
Four actors are on stage. One
of the actors becomes the sculptor and begins to sculpt the actors into poses
like sculptures. Once the “sculptor” is finished, the actors then begin an
improv based on their poses.
Class breaks into their
scenes. Each scene has a student director who helps block the scenes.
At end of class, the students
show their work.
6th Period:
Warm-ups:
Cat and Mouse
Students pair up
Students decide which is the
cat and which is the mouse.
The cat chases the mouse. If
the cat eats the mouse then the cat becomes the mouse. The mouse can avoid the
cat if s/he links up with another pair. The person furthest away from the mouse
becomes a dog and chases the cat.
