The Process will include:
All students will do research and are responsible for five note cards each on the subject
(Five sources from a book and two from an internet source) - 100 points
One student will be assigned the biography of the teacher
Two students will collaborate on the ten basic tenets of the acting philosophy
Two students will find a short representative scene to present to the class - 100 points
The scene should not be more than three minutes in length and must involve at least two of the students as actors. The scene will be directed by one of the students in the group. The scene must be memorized and will be performed in front of the class.
The students will prepare a power point about the teacher and her/his philosophy about the class, which all the students will present to the class - 100 points
The power point must include:
A biography of the teacher
At least ten pieces of information about the teacher's philosophy or approach
How this person's work differs from other approaches
A demonstration of the teacher's technique:
Example: Meisner's "The Repeat Exercise" or Strasberg's "Sense Memory Exercise"
Each step will be work 100 points for a total of 300 points
