Monday, May 7th:



Presentations of monologues:
Rough Draft:
Alinah – needed help writing her rough draft of spider in mom’s car and someone honking at them at stop light.
Final Presentation:
Jay – telling a girl he loved her. Then speaking to the audience about what happened next.
Final Draft:
Lizbeth – telling a friend her feelings about her high school girlfriend and why she can’t forget her.
Issis – a teacher defending an autistic girl from another girl who doesn’t understand the child’s issues.
Taylor – Talking to her sister who is devastated by the death of their cousin, who was sister’s best friend.
Ublester – Talking to an adult whose car window was smashed by his friend while playing soccer.

Adolfo - burned face with iron day before picture day

Madeline - friend committed suicide
Ublester - Kid busted a neighbor's window
Allisa - angry at difficult friend who lies to her and keeps he waiting
Mayte - Dad in hospital. She has to tell him she might not graduate from middle school
Idalia - Crush is at her bedroom window. Bell rang - to be continued!

Wednesday, May 9th: 

Arts Integration – Winston and Audrey performed scenes and songs from Into the Woods and answered questions.
Final presentation:
Vidal – sneaked into creepy neighbor’s next door house and found a crying, bruised child in the basement.  He rushes back to his house to call his friend to figure out what to do. While on the phone, he sees the creepy neighbor dragging outside what looks to be a black bag containing a body. He realizes to his horror that the creepy neighbor is heading his way. Vidal hears footsteps outside his door and picks up a chair to defend himself.
