January 20, 2015 - January 23, 2015 Agenda for World Theatre Class

Monday, January 19th:

No school today to celebrate the life of Martin Luther King.

Tuesday, January 20th:

Theatre Games:
Living Statue!
Break into groups of three and create three tableaux which tell a story. A tableau is a scene composed of actors who strike a pose which tells a story.

Wednesday, January 21st:
Guest Artists: Alicia Fusting, Elle Shaw
Finish with the Living Statue
Break into groups of five to create a playlet
The playlet must have:
Three scenes
The first scene must introduce the situation and a conflict
The second scene must develop the conflict
The third scene must resolve the conflict
Each actor must be in at least one of the scenes
Each actor must have a clearly defined character
Each actor must have a clearly defined relationship with the other actors.

 Thursday, January 22nd:

Guest Artists: Sara and David

Break into groups of five to continue working on scenes.

Jess, Anthony, Doug, Yanira, Tamara

Nush, Jasmine, Henry, Cheyenne, Jaylan

Travione, Danya, Amy, Guadalupe, Sarena, Daylan

Jess, Anthony, Doug, Yanira, Tamara did their scene today.
Doug is a little boy playing on the jungle gym. He gets sick, complaining of a tummy ache. His parents, Jess and Anthony, take him to the hospital.  The nurses, Yanira and Tamara, run blood tests and find him normal.
