Assignment:

Three Scenes and a Phrase

Break up into groups of four or five

Your job:

Come up with a phrase with a minimum of three words.

Then create three scenes in which the phrase is used in a different way each time.

Once you break into your group for the first time you must do the following:

One person records:

 the names of the people in the group

the phrase (minimum of three words; no cursing, no sexual innuendos, no drug references, no bathroom references)

Three possible story lines – all different, all using the phrase at some point, and the phrase in each story has to express a different emotion

Quiz, Julio, Melanie, Samantha, and Kiya on scene – scenes not fully fleshed out, didn’t show a great deal of thought

Makenzie, Jaylen, Ublester, Brianna, Yessenia – didn’t follow directions; first scenes too short; had difficulty in following directions, bad blocking – didn’t get not upstaging each other.

Began showing scenes:
