I spoke to class about the AADA summer program.
Final Presentation of Self-Written Monologues:
Jennifer - Crazy girlfriend obsessing about boyfriend in her diary
New Game:
Amber Florin was here today:
Audience members write one random line on a scrap of paper which is collected, folded, and given to the actors.
Two actors are onstage, given relationship, situation, and five folded pieces of paper.
The scene begins.
The director calls out periodically to one of the actors "Paper!" The actor opens and says what ever is written on the piece of paper.
The other actor reacts to what the actor just read.
The scene careens along.
Then the director calls out "Paper" to the other actor, who opens her/his folded piece of paper and reads whatever is written on the piece of paper.
The scene careens along.
The scene continues until all five pieces of paper are read by both actors.
