Monday, November 10th:

4^th Period:

Break into groups to work on scenes:

Keyla and Juan were here today as guest artists. 

Keyla worked with groups 3 and 7; Juan worked with group 6. 

I worked with group 2. 

1. Jessalie Gallegos, George Gasparyan, Zara Hakhrerdyan, Jenea Morris-Jones, Noelia Reyes

"I got you!"

I saw their first two scenes:

1.    Zara is a teacher dealing with an obnoxious class on the first day of school.

2.    Mean girls. George plays a new girl at school who is very naïve.

2. Alex Baljian, Precious Duran, Chris Felix, Kyla Lee, Alejandra Martinez, Yanira Rojas, Ronald Ruiz,

"Why didn't you tell me?"

1.    Wedding reception where an invited drunk uncle shows up and Dad tells the same lame joke he’s been telling for the past twenty years.

2.    Party where Yanira and Kyla announce that they are taking everyone to Europe; however, Kyla says she can’t go because she has cancer.

3.    Alejandra gets an acceptance letter from a prestigious university; however, she throws the letter away because she knows her family can’t afford it. Turns out that her family has scrimped and saved and does have the money after all.

3. Ray Ausafra, Jessica Minassian, Lorena Rodriguez, Marlyn Santos-Serpas

"Never turn down!"

1.    In a club, Ray tries to encourage Jessica, who’s wheelchair bound, to dance. Lorena and Marlyn are not very supportive.

2.    Ray is trying to sleep the night before a big important dance; however, his obnoxious younger sisters are partying.

4. Rachel Cruz, Jose Farfan, Jaylan Hernandez, Diana Minasyan, Anne Saludares

"I love you!"

I saw their first two scenes today.

1.    The girls are watching “Titanic” on t.v. Jose is grossed out.

2.    Anne is asking Diana, her mom, for money.

3.    Jaylan is proposing to Anne.

5. Joshua Calderon, Sabrina Castillo, Jennifer Ortega, Jasmin Wise

"I can't even!"

6. Henry Baljian, Jacqueline Martinez, Travione Moss, Regina Samasir

"That's so fetch!"

1.    Bratty kids crank call a teacher who thinks she’s getting a new job.

2.    The teacher returns to the bratty students.

7. Cyaila Demus, Danya Duarte, Michelle Lopez, Douglas Montes

"Come at me, bro!"

1.    Classroom situation where kids are getting their tests back: two kids who cheated, find out they failed and the kid who is certain the teacher has it out for him, gets an unexpected “A”.

Tuesday, November 11th: 

No school today!

Wednesday, November 12th: 

Groups 4 and 7 will present their scenes today. 

Other groups will continue working on their scenes. 

Thursday, November 13th: 

All groups will present their scenes today.

Friday, November 14th: 

Theatre games and improvs today!
